Eight cases of liposarcoma were studied by FNAC and histopathology. Of these cases, three were pleomorphic liposarcoma, three were spindle cell liposarcoma and two were myxoid liposarcoma. In most of the cases, diagnostic lipoblast was not detected in FNAC, but in histopathology, lipoblast was detected in all cases. In those cases where lipoblast was not detected in FNAC, diagnosis of liposarcoma was not possible by FNAC and these were diagnosed as sarcoma.
